Blacksmithing is a Skill in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Skills in KoA: Re-Reckoning are non-combat talents that allow you to improve your capability to craft, to discover different ways to play and interact with the environment, and to make it easier to go through some situations, which can aid you in your playthrough. Blacksmithing allows the character to both forge and repair weapons and armor.

Blacksmithing Description:

  • Allows you to use Components to create Weapons and Armor.
  • Allows you to repair Weapons and Armor, as both lose durability when used, and you will need to repair them.
  • To create an item, a "core" component is needed along with a second component and up to two additional components
  • At level 7, gems can be infused into equipment during creation (they are not removable once used)

How to Acquire Blacksmithing:

Mastering Blacksmithing requires a total of 10 Skill Points. You can acquire and improve Blacksmithing by different ways:

  • Race Bonuses: There is only one race which gives bonuses just by choosing it in Character Creation:
  • Leveling Up:
    • By level 40, you'll have earned 40 skill points from leveling.

Each of these trainers has a range of level requirements in which a character's skill level has to fall, in order to be eligible for training. If you are too skilled (or not skilled enough), you cannot learn from Trainers
