House of Sorrows is a faction in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-reckoning. Each faction has its own story, quests, and characters; some offer houses the Fateless One can own, others promise treasures untold.
The House of Sorrows was founded after the Winter Fae broke off from the Summer Fae. Years of fighting prevented the Winter Fae from forming a court of their own, but that changed with the rise of the House of Sorrows, and the Fae known as the Weeping King. Although he has long-since left the world, the Weeping King preached the worship of decay and decomposition. The Winter Fae keep this tradition alive to this day.
However, as the Tuatha rose to power, the House of Sorrows needed to make deals to ensure survival. As a sign of cooperation, they appointed as their King the severe and enigmatic Bisarane.
Now, the House of Sorrows finds itself caught in a fight with a Tuatha named Saturnyn, and no one knows who is working for whom. Only an outsider can bring peace to the land and save the Winter Fae from annihilation.
