Chakrams are a hybrid weapon type in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Chakrams are a mid-range weapon that deals focused attacks as well as circular area of effect damage.
- Chakrams deal base damage consisting of physical damage and elemental damage, with an approximately 50/50 split ratio.
- Fire Chakrams deal Fire Damage. The extra burning damage over time is approximately 200% of the base fire damage over 3 seconds.
- Ice Chakrams deal Ice damage. The extra freezing damage over time is is approximately 100% of the base ice damage over 6 seconds.
- Lightning Chakrams deal Lightning damage. The extra Shocking damage over time is approximately 140% of the base lightning damage over 5 seconds.
- Primal Chakrams deal Primal damage, with an extra primal damage over time of approximately 140% of the base Primal damage over 10 seconds.
- Chakrams have an average attack speed.
- By spending points on the Arcane Weaponry series of abilities, you will unlock more combat moves for the Chakrams.
- Even though Chakrams have a moderately low damage output per hit, they compensate this with the damage over time effect which can make Chakrams one of the strongest weapons of the game.
Investing in the Arcane Weaponry will grant new attack moves for the Chakrams and investing in the Chakram Mastery will increase the damage delivered when using one to attack. There are other indirect ways to improve damage output or add effects to the use of the Chakrams like for example the Blade Honing ability from the Finesse tree, that improves critical hits dealt with all bladed-type weapon
- Maelstrom: Flings the Chakrams around The Fateless One in an expanding circle. (Requires Arcane Weaponry I)
- Elemental Escape: Attacks with both Chakrams and dodges backwards getting away from danger. (Requires Arcane Weaponry II)
- Orbit Blades: Dodges and launches the enemy into the air. (Requires Arcane Weaponry III)
