Back to Basics is a Quest in Kingdoms of Amalur:Re-Reckoning. Back to Basics is a Side Quest available to the player. Completing Back to Basics will give additional loot, items, experience or equipment, but it is not necessary to complete the game's main story.
A Kollossae hermit, Hystis, living in an old abandoned Jottun camp has asked me to complete a few tasks for him. I should retreive his family ring from his brother, Heliodorus, take his journal to his old comrade, Dareios, and finally got to his wife, Korrinna, and convince her to go to him.

- Complete Hystis' tasks
Back to Basics Walkthrough
- Speak with Hystis at Hystis' Camp in the northwest of the Teeth of Naros.
- He asks you to complete 3 tasks for him:
- Retrieve his family ring - Go to Heliodorus at The Living Quarters. You can either buy the ring, Persuade him to give it to Hystis or pickpocket the key to a chest containing the ring from him.
- Deliver his journal to Dareios, found in Berenike's Camp.
- Persuade his wife to join him - Go to the Idylla Concourse and speak to Korrinna. Persuade her to join her husband.
- Return to Hystis to complete the quest.
